Job title: Energy Validation Analyst

Salary: Dependent on skills and experience and level of training to be provided

Reports to: Energy Operations Manager

Based at: Businesswise Solutions, Suite 103-105 Lomeshaye Business Village, Nelson, BB9 7DR

Job Purpose: Responsible for delivery of energy value add services to all existing and new customers, through validation analysis and customer facing portal system.



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Understand the capabilities of the Energy Management System and from this system deliver bill validation to a process.
• Analysis of client data to maximise savings for customers and income generation
• Produce Management Information (MI) reporting for customers from the Energy Management System/portal
• Data checking, validation and query resolution
• Respond to automated, self-identified, internal and external client-raised queries.
• Produce ad hoc, basic and bespoke contractual reports – ie accruals, budgets and consumption reports
• Identify on-going savings through forensic analysis of current accounts
• Help Identify refund savings through retrospective analysis of energy account history.
• Development and creation of tenant specific billing system for multi sited customers
• Assist in developing further energy management services for existing and new customers

Whilst the above are the main responsibilities within your role, dependent on business needs and requirements, you will be required to undertake other responsibilities.

Job title: Energy Pricing Analyst

Salary: Dependent on skills and experience and level of training needed

Reports to: Energy Operations Manager

Job Purpose:To provide a service to BWS customers and prospective customers for energy related matters and to maintain excellent customer relations to help retain/win business year on year in line with business plans.



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


• Build robust customer relationships and understand the customer needs across their energy portfolio.
• Manage and deliver the tendering process.
• Prioritise work load and manage tenders to ensure all internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Be able to review and negotiate energy suppliers’ terms and conditions.
• Understand SLAs set by suppliers, how these affect internal SLAs and to manage customer expectations to these SLAs.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Be able to negotiate contracts to maximise profit whilst balancing other factors to ensure we are winning business.
• Manage forward planning of customer accounts to ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage new supply installations and meter installations.
• Manage Meter Operator (MOP) and Data Collection (DC) agreements and be able to negotiate contracts to maximise profit and balance other factors to ensure we are winning business.
• Be a team player, who can bring ideas to the table in order to improve processes and help the team work “smarter”.


Preferred knowledge/industry experience would include but not essential as training can be provided:


• Knowledge of the wholesale energy market and understand what drivers influence market movement.
• Knowledge of the energy industry and new legislation.
• Ability to price all types of contracts, including pass through and flex and to be able to manage a flex portfolio, advising the customer accordingly to the purchase strategy in place.

Job title: Energy Admin Assistant

Reports to: Energy Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


LOA process
Responsible for logging and chasing all LOA’s issued within the business

Termination process
Responsible for logging and chasing all Termination’s issued within the business

Collection of HH Data from suppliers
Collection of HH data re electricity contracts from suppliers to enable bill validation to take place

Invoice Chasing
Chasing of energy invoices from suppliers to enable bill validation to take place

Live Dates
Requesting confirmation of live dates for all energy contracts and chasing suppliers to ensure all are confirmed within a timely manner

Data cleanse and collection
In advance of a new CRM system being implemented numerous data cleanse projects will take place to ensure we have all outstanding information collected. This role will be responsible for such projects

Answering of external calls
Answering and fielding all external calls into the business

Ad-hoc duties
Additional admin duties as required by the team on an ongoing basis
There is potential to expand the responsibilities where possible due to the requirements of the business and the developing skills of the candidate.


The expectation is that over time the candidate will train and learn all aspect of the Energy division to develop skills further and progress within the team. This will be with the full support and training of the Energy Manager and team.

Salary: Dependent on skills and experience and level of training needed. The role has a basic salary plus a very attractive commission structure and car/car allowance

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Acquisition of new customers and business contacts

Cross selling to significant existing energy client base

Meeting Business Owners/Directors face to face with or without pre-qualified appointments

Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline that ensures consistent success year on year

Production of quotes and all associated paperwork required right through to contract sign


Skills required:

• 2 year’s field sales experience is required with a proven track record of high achievement in winning business
• Excellent product knowledge, in particular hosted VOIP systems up to 50 seats
• Experience of selling into multi-site customers
• Ability to influence at all levels
• Confident, positive and empathetic personality
• Be responsible and accountable for meeting targets
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, confident, and enjoys talking to people
