Red Carnation Group

Red Carnation Group, a world-renowned collection of boutique luxury hotels and spas continues to lead the hotel sustainability movement by launching a series of energy initiatives to lower its carbon footprint, working in partnership with Businesswise Solutions.

The group, who celebrates 100-years in hospitality this year, has long been associated with making environmental and sustainable commitments, including most recently its challenging targets to eliminate single-use plastics across its hotels.

Red Carnation Group has committed to securing 100% renewable electricity for its entire UK portfolio by joining the ‘hotel renewable energy basket’. This initiative powered by Businesswise Solutions is supported by the ‘Energy & Environmental Alliance’, a new organisation set up to help global accommodation providers lead on impactful practices benefiting the planet, people and profit.

Further to that, Red Carnation Group are also deploying a new energy technology solution – Energy-Management-as-a-Service Powered by Businesswise SolutionsTM (EMaaS) – to improve its overall energy efficiency in its UK hotels. The aim is to create centres of excellence in energy management reduction, which will allow Red Carnation Group to eliminate all energy waste from its operations.

Managing Director, Jonathan Raggett commented on the new partnership:

‘It was important for us to work with a partner who shared our vision and sustainability goals, as well as one who could provide us with a complete end-to-end service.

After talking to Businesswise’s energy experts and seeing the technology in action we were confident the Businesswise offering would give us the visibility needed to reduce our energy consumption and carbon output, without impacting on service excellence and the unique guest experience Red Carnation prides itself in providing.’

Businesswise Solutions CEO, Frazer Durris added:

‘It’s great to partner with a prestigious hotel group who is a leader in the sustainability movement for hotels.

Our expert people and technology solutions mean Red Carnation Group not only has complete visibility of its energy consumption but will also benefit from the actionable insight, that will bring about positive sustainable changes for the group. This will also drive significant cost value to the group that will allow them to reinvest to further reduce carbon output

We look forward to taking Red Carnation Group to the next level on its ambitious sustainability journey.’
